Hello Duathletes,
Thanks for being part of a great event. Our proceeds go towards local and state Lions charities. I understand not wanting to come out with the wet roads conditions.
For the participants, I believe everything is finally reconciled – times, splits, and age groups for those of you who gave me their discrepancies. If you still feel they are not correct, please contact athlete guild – swood@athleteguild.com
Also, you may see changing in age groups to comply with USATriathlon rules. And it changed a few awards and rankings.
3.2 Age Group Competition. a. All age group athletes must participate and compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete’s age on December 31 of the year of the event.

Regarding the Awards, I will distribute them to Austin Tri-Cyclists and Tri-Sitions Area in San Antonio for those who requested packet pickups there. If you prefer me to mail them, just let me know. For my local folks I’ll make arrangements for a drop-off.

Hello Blue Norther Duathletes,
Our event is living up to its name. We are preparing for the race on Sunday as planned. I understand your concerns about the weather. It may be unpleasant, but the race will likely go on. The forecast Sunday at ~9 AM in Seguin is: Isolated T-storms, 30% chance of rain, 59 degrees with west wind of 4 mph – not so bad. I, like you, am hoping for no storms or that it will pass. I don’t believe conditions will be severe enough to cancel. We will make a decision on race morning; an option is to cancel the bike portion.
The roads are likely to be wet and cyclists are advised to use caution! We will have officers and/or volunteers at each turn on the course as well as a sweeper car/truck to assist anyone needing help. We will do our best to make this a fun event!
Get some rest and please plan on joining us.
